Your Sponsorship: A guide to how your money is spent.
What is the money spent on?
The main objective of our program is to provide an educational opportunity for the performing arts. In the world we often have a choice about the education of our children- in Colorado, we hope to give each child a “chance,” they might not otherwise get. Your support will allow the students a chance to receive that education. The students will have a much broader level of skills and training and greater opportunities for their future performing in the “Sport of Arts”.
The sponsorship funds are spent according to the budget needs of the association. Some of the budget items include: putting on weekly shows/contests; supplies; training sessions for coaches and students; judges expenses. RMCGA in conjunction with Winter Guard International (WGI) host a Regional contest in Denver each year and there are also budget items associated for that contest. Teams who attend this competition are eligible to compete at the national level in April. At the end of each season RMCGA holds the State Championships. This event is one that all of the students, coaches and staff put much effort into each year. RMCGA wants to make this the biggest event of the season for the students. The venue is quite expense for this event. In 2009, the cost to put on Championships will be $30,000.
How much of what I give to CHANCE is spent on administration and running costs?
We pledge that 100% of the money donated by any individual or company will be spent on the competitors, contest or judges whom they sponsor. We are very proud to be able to apply your sponsorship directly to the impact areas for the students. We believe that when individuals donate and develop a relationship with our organization, they will know their money is being spent efficiently and directly on the cause for which it was meant.
We can do this by efficient management of the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association. For every dollar donated by your company, you can claim it on your income tax. These funds officially allow us to provide the long term type of service and organization your company or individual would be glad to be affiliated with.
How do I know my contribution is going where you say it is going?
Here at the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association we believe accountability and transparency are paramount values. We will, at any time, be happy to share with you the financial accounts and file relating to your sponsorship. These files are collated and an external management accountant produces a financial report which is available to the on an annual basis.
