Information on Joining High Country Brass

Instructors Needed

Arvada West High School is in search of a Color Guard Instructor for this upcoming marching band season and possibly the Winter Guard season. They will be responsible for training the members in all disciplines of color guard, flag, rifle, saber, and dance. They also will be working with the director and staff in the design and choreography of the show. Air Academy High School is seeking a technician for the current marching season and beyond. He or she needs to be trained on the fundamentals of dance, and all aspects of Flag, Rifle and Sabre. They should be comfortable working alone and with the design team, through predetermined philosophy and technique. As a technician he or she will be working under the current director and designer, in training, cleaning and in some cases writing choreography for the team.

Harrison High School is seeking a guard instructor for the current marching/winter guard season and beyond.  He or she needs to be trained on the fundamentals of dance, and all aspects of Flag, Rifle and Sabre. During the marching season, he or she will be working under the current director as an assistant, but during the winter guard season, he or she will work independently designing the show, writing choreography, running practices and attending competitions with the team.  A clean driving record (nothing major w/in last 3yrs) is required because this person will be responsible for driving the team to competitions in district vehicles.
