JOB TITLE: Secretary
DATE: July 8, 2010
JOB SUMMARY
The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meetings, see that all notices are given, be custodian of the Circuit records, sign all records and correspondence, and sign, with the President, and contracts or instruments which the membership has authorized to be executed. He/she shall keep a register of the members and their addresses and, in general, perform all duties incidental to the office of Secretary and such other duties as may be assigned by the President. This is voluntary board position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The secretary reports and works closely with the three other elected Board of Directors for the association. The secretary also has a close working relationship with the membership at large, various vendors, staff/volunteers, booster organizations and Winter Guard International as necessary.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Open communication with the board of directors, current task force, membership and Staff/volunteers as necessary
- Keep the minutes of all RMCGA meetings and distribute to the Contest Director for posting on the website and forwarding to the membership
- Sign, along with the president, all contracts and instruments which the membership has authorized to be executed
- Keep register of membership contact information and voting delegates and have these records on site as necessary at RMCGA meetings

Instructors Needed
The Evergreen High School Marching Cougars are looking for a highly qualified and motivated instructor to work with our new, motivated colorguard during the 2010/2011 season. Applicant must have previous colorguard experience and be willing to work with students of all ability levels. Instructor will be required to write choreography and would be included in show design and uniform selection.
Instructor salary is dependent on successful instructor experience.
Instructor will be attending:
- A weekly summer sectional: time and day TBA
- Band Camp: August 7, 9-14, 9:00am-5:00pm
- During the Fall School Semester
- A weekly Colorguard Only Rehearsal: time and day TBA
- Monday: Full Band Rehearsal 5:00-8:00pm
- Fridays: Night Football Games or Full Band Rehearsal
- Saturday: Competitions or Full Band Rehearsal
- Other practice dates/times – TBA
- Instructor will have to become CHSAA certified.
The Marching Band Season runs from August through October.
We are also considering starting a Winterguard program, if the climate is right.
Evergreen H.S. is located in Evergreen Colorado and is a part of the Jeffco School District.

Legacy High School Band-Color Guard Head Instructor
Position:
- Head Color Guard Instructor for Legacy High School Band Program
- Application Deadline, May 15, 2010
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Being responsible for all administrative aspects of running a year-around Color Guard program
- Teaching all aspects of a competitive Fall Color Guard and Winter Guard
- Teaching marching and foot work to Fall Color Guard and Winter Guard
- Designing and writing dance, implementing work for both fall Color Guard and Winter Guard
- Designing the Winter Guard show, to include composition/arrangement of work and music, drill design, props, floor painting, etc.
- Managing Color Guard instructional staff
- Running any needed sectionals
- Working with Color Guard student soloists and ensembles
- Recruiting and communication with all Middle School Directors
- Inventorying and ordering all Color Guard equipment
- Maintaining all equipment and Budget items associated with Color Guard
- Coordinating with Booster personnel to arrange movement and transportation of equipment if needed
- Coordinating with Band Director on student progress, development, inventory needs, staff relationships, etc.
Time Commitment:
- Summer Marching Band Rehearsals
- Sectionals and individual help on a weekly basis
- Rehearsals during Marching season - Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, with rehearsals and competitions each Saturday.
- Rehearsals will be arranged for Winter Guard before the season starts
- Rehearsals during school when necessary
