RMCGA Performer Scholarship Fund
The deadline for this year’s scholarship program has passed. Be on the lookout for information regarding next season’s program next winter.
To celebrate 50 years of color guard excellence in the RMCGA circuit, a scholarship fund is being created to assist young performers in overcoming the financial obstacles of their performance aspirations.
To apply, please send the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org by end-of-day March 15th, 2022. Applicants are encouraged to showcase their strengths and creativity with their responses to the prompts (essay, speech, poem, artwork, show design, video, choreographed piece, etc.).
- What guard are you currently in?
- What is the name of the program you would like your scholarship directed to as a portion of your dues should you be selected as a winner? (This could be a scholastic, independent, drum corps, or marching band program.)
- How has color guard made a difference in your life and how do you hope to use it to change the lives of others? (500 word/5 minute limit)
- What would receiving this scholarship mean for you and your future as a performer/educator? (500 word/ 5 minute limit)
Five winners will be selected by an independent panel of three individuals with historical ties to the circuit but without current affiliation. These scholarship winners will be announced at State Championships, with a $500 scholarship prize being sent directly to the winner’s designated program as a portion of their dues.
