November 12th 2017 Ascend Offices RMCGA Meeting: Motion to approve sping minutes- Trianna Seconded by Scott Mcgiveron Budget: Changes? Additions? None brought to the attention of the board Move to approve the budget- Scott McGiveron Seconded by Tammy WGI Symposium Memo- Rule changes Email about rule changes sent out WGI is working with Disney to move championships to Orlando in 2020- Once class at the beginning. Everything would be on the ground of Disney world- they are in the talking stages of this Flow Marching- In talks to broadcast championships, Zero cost to us for championships and is waiting to hear back on that. Wgi symposium
WGI Circuit Partners Symposium in New Orleans. Some rule changes for the 2018 season as we prepare for our seasons. Legal equipment has been redefined to include “equipment that resembles a rifle” i.e. sickle rifle. They need to be 24 inches in length. If you have anything you would like to run by someone you can email Dale Powers at WGI for more clarification. A staff member can use a remote control from the stands to operate lights and or a prop in the show, i.e. the device Avon HS used and moved around their show un attended last The Dayton arena is currently under construction, so if you plan to attend this year here are a few points of interest that were shared with us. Membership Meeting May 7, 2017 Old Business: None to discuss Approve Minutes of November Meeting motion – Jennifer Carrasco second – Lindsey Thomas Any other items carried over: None Contest Items: None to discuss Budget Items: Review Budget from 2017 and discuss options for 2018 Judges were slightly over but were close to budget. Extra show on the 11th made for the additional expense, was not originally in the budget for the additional airfare. •Keep the rebate for the regional for units who attend.
