To celebrate color guard excellence in the RMCGA circuit, the scholarship fund will continue to be offered to assist young performers in overcoming the financial obstacles of their performance aspirations.

To apply, please send the following information to comarchingarts@gmail.com by end-of-day March 25th, 2023. Applicants are encouraged to showcase their strengths and creativity with their responses to the prompts (essay, speech, poem, artwork, show design, video, choreographed piece, etc.).

  • Name
  • What guard are you currently in?
  • What is the name of the program you would like your scholarship directed to as a portion of your dues should you be selected as a winner? (This could be a scholastic/marching band, independent, or drum corps program.)
  • How has color guard made a difference in your life and how do you hope to use it to change the lives of others? (500 word/5 minute limit)
  • What would receiving this scholarship mean for you and your future as a performer/educator? (500 word/ 5 minute limit)

This year, one winner will be selected from each of three different categories based on where performers hope to direct their winnings:

$500 – Scholastic/Marching Band Program

$1250 – Independent Program

$2500 – Drum Corps Program

Winners will be selected by an independent panel of three individuals with historical ties to the circuit but without current affiliation. Winners will be announced at State Championships, with scholarship prizes being sent directly to the designated program as a portion of the individual performer’s dues.
